What BestDayHR Has Meant to Me

You don’t see me much. I’m Kassandra. I work backstage as the perfect stagehand, makeup artist, and lighting director for BestDayHR. It’s been just over a year since I officially joined the team, and I’ve recently spent a lot of time reflecting on what this year has been—for me, for my family, and for the work I get to be part of every day.

It has been a year full of plot twists. The kind that shakes you, stretches you, and teaches you just how much you can hold. And in the middle of all of it, BestDayHR became my steady ground.

The Year Everything Happened at Once

When I look back on the last twelve months, it feels like a highlight reel of chaos and resilience:

My husband deployed and was extended twice. I found myself solo parenting four kids, one being our itty-bitty baby.
If that wasn’t enough, I came home from a training and our kitchen flooded. The kids spent months displaced in an Airbnb while our home was rebuilt.
Between school schedules, work deadlines, insurance battles, and the daily emotional load of doing everything alone, some moments felt impossibly heavy.

And somehow—somehow—I didn’t break. A huge part of that is because of my people at BestDayHR.

Growing in the Middle of the Storm

Even in the hardest months, I was challenged to learn, create, problem-solve, and push myself in ways that made me better. I got to work on meaningful projects that aligned with my strengths and my heart. I had the chance to tell stories, build strategy, and contribute to something I believe truly matters.

BestDayHR didn’t just give me work to do—they gave me permission to grow.

And I’m really proud of the work we’re doing. We help make workplaces healthier, more supportive, more human. We help leaders become better leaders and organizations become better places to work. We do work that ripples outward in ways we sometimes don’t even see.

That’s a rare gift.

Gratitude Looks Like This

So this is simply a thank you.

Thank you, BestDayHR, for being steady when life wasn’t. For giving me a place to bring my creativity, my ideas, and my whole self—even when my whole self is tired, stretched thin, or answering emails with a baby balanced on my hip. For being a team where kindness and excellence actually coexist. For being people I trust, respect, and genuinely enjoy.

This year could have broken me. Instead, I was supported, encouraged, and reminded of the person—and professional—I want to be.

I’m proud of the work we do. I’m proud of the people I work alongside. And I’m proud to be part of a company that is truly trying to make the world a little better—one workplace at a time.

Here’s to another year of impact, creativity, growth, and purpose.
